Hi I left my 2002 A4 with a 3-month old battery parked over the weekend and when I went to start it tonight the battery was so totally drained that nothing worked, not a single indicator light in the interior, not even the remote doorlocks worked. I jump-started it easily with my wife's car, drove it for over an hour with no problems but noticed after I parked it that some kind of sound was coming from the car (engine off) that sounded like an electric motor running. I've not heard this sound before...oh, and I noticed the check engine light is on. Any ideas what is going on with my 134K mile car?

Its probably a faulty fan control module, when the malfunction the fans will stay on until the battery is dead. Take it to the dealer.
