Default Variable Soft Top Storage Box

I have a broken Variable Soft Top storage box. The Cables have snapped and the curved plastic bit has snapped at 1 hinge. I have be searching on the net for ages and cannot find any advice on this apart from taking the car back to Audi and having my wallet emptied. has anyone else had this issue or knows where I can buy parts for a repair or even if the box is repairable.

thanks in advance for any help.

There is almost nothing available for that, except for the whole assembly. The cables and that broken part are not going to be sold individually I'm sorry to say. I can tell you the part number for it is 8H0-863-491-D-2Z3, retails for 500.00 and your price would be 372.00 plus shipping out to you. We have one in stock. I know you aren't alone in trying to fix the one you have. There are people that have done that, I don't know where to tell you to search that you haven't probably already gone. Use top stowage box as key words to search and you might get more hits.

Thanks for your advice, that diagram is very useful. I have a length of cable that I might try and repair it with. I will take pics along the way and post if I manage to get it to work.
I will use buying the entire box as a backup if I don't have any luck.

Town573,
If you could send me the PDF disassembly guide that would be greatly appreciated. I'm stuck trying to figure out how to remove the last Torx bolt from the left hand side and can go no further. Thanks.
