audi a4 2001 quattro what do these buttons do i found them earlier today in my drivers front door card pocket

 

One of the buttons is to turn off the interior alarm sensor
The other button is to turn off the anti lifting alarm, So your alarm doesn't go off when your car gets towed.

That is what i was told. I could be wrong.

Yep, you are right the top one is for the tilt sensor, for towing. The bottom is interior motion sensing alarm, button is to turn it off if for example you leave a pet in the car, (my dog has been banned from riding since I bought the audi, the interior is just too nice. She will just have to ride in my girls honda!) Both of these reset once the car is turned off and restarted to both on.
