What are the wires between the glove box and glove box lid?
Ordered a glove box hinge repair kit for my 2004 A4 B6 Cabriolet, but need a little help before I attempt the repair. On the right-side (broken) hinge, there are several wires in a clear sheath coming from the glove box and entering the hollow of the glove box lid. Can someone tell me what they are for? I have not seen them in any YouTube fixit videos, and do not want to put a sharp screw through something important. Thanks in advance for your help.

I've got a similar issue, what we're the wires for. I think a sensor but no idea what! Hope to hear from you Jamie |
Wires glove box hinge
Just found out they are for Central locking actuator. So redundancy when the roof is open is OK.... If you don't leave anything in them |
