Default Where is the camshaft postition sensor on a B6???

Hi all,

Can someone please tell me where this sensor is on a 2002 B6 1.8T Quattro Manual? I've searched the net and have not yet been able to find a site or writeup for replacing it let alone it's exact location.

Anyone?

Tanks

Its right on the front of the head. Remove the upper timing belt cover and you can see it. Two 10mm bolts hold it in.

Why you want to replace it though worries me because if you have a fault code for the cam sensor, 90% chance the problem is the timing belt.

Auditech,

I'm not gonna question you because well, I know you lol but I just had the timing belt replaced 40, 000 KILOMETRES ago.... They usually go at 60,000 MILES don't they?
