WINDOWS SCREWED AFTER BATTERY D/C PLEASE HELP :(
Hi all,
Well I disconnected my battery to remove my seats and now that everything is in it's place the keyfob won;t roll down the windows either by remote control or by sticking the key in the lock and turning and holding.... Is there any way to fix this without having to use a vag com???? I tried resetting the keyfob and it worked but not for the windows down with key in lock part. Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers and Thanks

You can usually "program" your windows and sunroof by holding the window buttons down and back up again. Do that to all of them and that should do the trick on your key.
Whenever I repace the battery on my keyfob (happened a few times, needed to find out battery size, etc), my remote lock/unlock stopped working. Threw me off the first time or two, but after putting in the key and starting it, it worked fine. Also the Stealership had my car for so long with the battery out that my fuel guage got reset... No issues there, it fixed itsself over time.

Wait a sec, you moved the seats... I thought the battery was under the hood passenger side right in front of the firewall, or do you mean power seats (in which case why did you d/c the battery?)
I just learned that the batteries were under the rear seats in older A6's the other day lol

Yeah stupid me.... I unbolted the seats and because I thought I was going to remove the front seat completely and it meant disconnecting the airbag connection under it, I disconnected the battery so that I wouldn't set off an airbag code..... When I realized that I only needed to tilt the seat up to get at the big *** salt stain under it, I just left the battery disconnected while I did the work so the door lights wouldn't drain the power..... and the funny thing is.... I knew this was gonna happen the whole time I was doing it. DAMM!!!
