WTF??
 

My 2003 Audi A4 makes a sort of wissling whining kind of noise when I step on the gas, it's not very loud but I can hear it and that bugs me. Does anyone know what that is??

um how bout the turbo? is yours a 1.8T?

Yeah it's a turbo, I noticed it's not as loud once the car warms up.

Yeah it's a 1.8 Turbo, is that what it is?? I just want to make sure i don't have to worry. Cause my mechanic says that's it's in perfect condition but when I heard that whistle it kind of concerned me.

perfect condition. mine does the same thing, as do all turbos. Even the new VW Gti's do the same thing, since its the same engine just bumped up in displacement. (2.0T). You have nothing to worry about, I in fact kinda like the sound of the turbo
