Default 2005 Leaking under Tran

About 3 days ago, driving as normal, then went to go back into 1st, and no go. 2nd , 3rd etc were giving trouble to get the gear. After a few go's, finally got it, but its very sticky to get it into gear now, if at all.Checked under, and found a clear liquid ( prob like brake fluid, but had not hoist so couldnt get a good look ) leaking around the clutch, and sump area.I was thinking possibly the slave cylinder ?? but the pedal aint sticking etc .any advice ?

if it was brakes the color would have been red,

clear fluid could just be water and u coulda have had a hard itme with the gears if it was cold outside

did u touch the fluid? was it greeasy? if it was then it could have been gear oil (im assuming its a manual tranny)

Yea, the fluid is a little greasy, and clear, but gear usually have a stronger odour ?? it is the 1.9TDI , does it have a seperate reservoir for the clutch fluid ? Because the brake fluid seems clear in the reservoir. it also just seemed more viscous than water. thanks again !

i woul check gear oil seeing as your trouble is stemming from a transmission issue rather then brakes unless you have noticed your brakes acting up recently
