I am trying to decide between a 2006 A4 Stick 45,000 miles vs a 2008 Passat automatic with 30,000 miles. The A4 is "certified" the passat is not. They are the same price and seemingly the same features. What would you do?

 

Well the Passat has more room inside, and newer. Also has the Passat the DSG tranny? Very good! The Audi is of course older, and I am not sure on the 2006 A4's. I do know the 2007, 2008 A4's (B7) had a newer model engine installed (BWT 2.0T) as the 2005/2006's had some minor problems. Depending on the price/options I would lean toward the Audi for pure driving fun. The Passat sedan is also really nice (with some minor body/suspension mods). Also you need to check out the warranty. If something breaks on either one without a good warranty you will be paying premium repair prices!

yeahh...... a4 is better and passat is newer, but its auto........so i would never buy it to begin with.
