Default 2007 a4 3.2

I'm considering the purchase of one of these two vehicles; 2007 A4 3.2 FWD or a 2007 A4 2.0T Quattro. Both vehicles have approximately 90,000 miles and am wondering if there are any problem areas I should be looking out for when I go to the dealer?

Also, I'll take either to get checked out by the local Audi dealer before I purchase. I just like to be informed at the dealer.

I'm no expert, but I just purchased an 06, A4, Quattro 3.2 and choose it because I was told by the others on the forum that the 3.2 is considerably less problematic than the 2.0T. Particularly because it has a timing chain rather than timing belt. I've had it a couple of weeks now and am loving it. I'm conservative on the gas pedal and am getting 30mpg on the highway. I'm happy with the purchase.

The 3.2 is a good motor. The only issue's I heard of was carbon build up because of the low driving speeds in the US(?). Also fuel consumption can be high but since the one you are looking at is a front trac it should be ok. What type of transmission? The best tranny's for these cars (based on European/German reviews) are;
6sp manual for 2.0T or 3.2
Tiptronic for 3.2 or 2.0T
CVT or multitronic I would only consider for the 3.2

Good luck!

The ONLY hesitation in saying "Go with the 3.2" is the fact that it's FWD. Depending on where you live, the quattro definitely handles snow and other inclement weather with ease.

Also, if you're into tuning and modding, the 2.0T is the way to go. It doesn't take much to make it a 300hp engine. But you'll be doing quite a bit of preventative maintenance at 90k, including a $1K timing belt service due soon.
