ya definitely test drive each car to make sure you like the way they feel and handle cuz the last thing you want to do is buy a car before really getting a good idea as to how they drive and not like it... then go from there and think about practicality and what you are going to use it for and than make you decision from there

 

The 135i is going to be very fast compared to the A4. The A4 is going to be much more car, luxurious, bigger, more comfortable ride. Sports car international magazine reviews the r32, 135i, evo, and sti and were not very impressive by the 135i except for its speed and accelleration. I think the two cars are very different and I think you need to decided what you are looking for in a car.

If it is stock speed and stiff sport suspension get the 135i
If you are looking for something more luxurious with some power but more class and more room choose the a4.

 

The A4 is a great car, but the 135i is too. I was actually thinking about getting one and keep my audi, but I would get a bare bones 135i and just mod it up for power....

 

i rather spend the extra money and get the 335i. It looks 10x better and those hidious lights on the 135i is enough to keep me away. But i love the engine

 

Original poster is comparing apples to oranges. A4 is a 3 series competitor. S4 is a 335 competitor. RS4 is M3 comp. Unfortunately Audi decided not to bring the S3 to US, which would be much better match for 135.

 

ya the engine is quite sexy... but its quite hard to compare the two
