Exclamation A4Sline (2007) TCM module problems

Hi everyone,

I have a 2007 Audi A4 FWD 2.0T (7 speed) and I'm having problems with the TCM (transmission control module), eventually all the the lights are flashing (PRND) and the reverse speed does not work properly. The car is out of warranty. Does anyone know where I can buy the TCM or rapair it.
What information do I need to get the right part? ie: number of engine or part or BIN, etc.

Any info would be really appreciated.

Regards,
Rod

Default Tcm extended warranty

I got the same problem. I went to a local audi specialist. The owner was a really nice guy. He called up a buddy who works at an Audi dealership and found out that there's a TSB on that TCM issue. They extended the warranty on that to 7 yrs or 70,000 mi. I strongly suggest you to take your car to an audi dealer ASAP if you're still within the warranty period. Good luck.

I forgot to mention that you can't just buy a new TCM and replace it. The TCM needs to be programmed in order to work with your car's transmission. I also heard that there are some places outside the US where they can refurbish your TCM, that is if you can afford to let your car sit for a week or two. And it's probably going to cost you around 700-1000. If you go through Audi and get a replacement it can run you anywhere between 1500 - 2500. That's what I found out so far. Again, good luck.
