APR Stage 2 ECU
Guys!
I have been searching all over including APR's website trying to find what gains I could expect to see with their stage 2 ECU!
I see that stage one gets you ~40 hp and ~100 ft/lbs but what do you get by going up to stage 2 and adding the recommended test/HFC?
Anyone know?

**** man, I ma running stage 2+ but never ever took it the dyno. All I can tell u tho is that test pipe is way better than the HFC. Only testpipe is quite stinky and also couldnt pass emmisions so I got the HFC. It kinda feels slower now but at least doesnt stink
That's the info that I was trying to figure out thanks!
I think I'm going to run a HFC because I don't want to have to change it out for inspections.
When I was asking my local shop about upgrades, he said I should look into...
"To complement the software, I would highly recommened a Sprint Booster to get rid of the delayed factory throttle response. Your A4's drive-by-wire throttle is calibrated to be a bit too soft, so the Sprint Booster intecepts and changes the electronic signal, changing the curve of response to be much more immediate."
Ever heard of this?? Is it a good upgrade?

All this does is advance the voltage in the DBW system. Complete waste of money.
A pretty good write up on the Sprint Booster.

That is completely untrue. Stage 2 you get a high flow cat or test pipe and then the tune dials that in even more. I have done this and there was very nice hp increase. Add a fuel pump to stage 2 and you feel another large increase. Check out APR's dyno's as they are correct. I did not dyno but I went from stage 1 with a decent power increase to stage 2 and having a hard time with tire spin all the time.
Check out 034 Motorsports for a HFC. But Makav3li is right about APR's stage 2 tune, the software can already take advantage of HFC and exhaust and stage 1, stage 2 just eliminates any CELs from the oxygen sensor. Other vendors may actually adjust the tune for stage 2, though.
