Default Brake Pad Replacements on 2005 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro

First time post

This is going to be the first time replacing the brake pads on my car and I went to price them out the other day and apparently there are two different router diameters associated with my make, model and year. 320mm and 345mm Diameter Rotors. Is there a better way to find out which diameter rotor my car has?

Also, does anyone have any tips/tricks about changing the brake pads on these?

Thanks.

Pull one front wheel and measure the diameter of (accross) the rotor. Use a metric ruler if you have one, if not, measure in inches and multiply by 25.40 to get the diameter.

The brakes are pretty easy on these Audi's, and should be easy if you have ever done a brake job before. At least my 2006 A4 Quattro is pretty easy.

On my 08 there is a star type socket required to remove the bolts so make sure to get one of those, mine came in a set of like 8 sizes. Mine squeaked for a little while after installing, i watched a video on youtube and i guy was putting locktite on areas of the metal to prevent this so i would recommend watching one of those videos. It took me about 20 min a wheel
