Default Carbonio Intake...Is it worth it? I'm making a decision within 2 days...

Hi, I really need to know if it's worth it...I'm buying a slightly used one for a fraction of price. I have heard mixed reviews and would really like to know if anyo of you put one in your B7 A4...Thanks Blake

i'm also in the same boat as you are. I have enough saved up for a carbonio, but i don't know if i should buy it now or just keep saving up for wheels/tires.

I have one on my 2008. I love it. It looks cool, and it sounds awesome. Does it make more HP? Who knows, some say yes others say no. I will tell you that if you do any other upgrades like a performance chip you should get one.

I've had the Carbonio installed in my '07 A4 for about 6 months now, and I've loved every minute of it.

It doesn't generate that much more power, but it sounds great and makes the turbo spool quicker and more effeciently.

before you start thinking about it too much just go ahead and buy it seeing as you have the funds, you won't be disappointed!

I had the opportunity to buy one for $135+shipping but it sold before I agreed to buy it.

I have also heard good things regarding the Forge Diverter Valve. What does it do exactly and is it worth it. Thanks!

the diverter valve recirculates the air once you shift gears or disengage the clutch so it releases all the boost pressure that has built up as its not needed anymore... and basically the Forge one is stronger than the stock one which will break under added amounts of boost from either chipping the car or other means. also some of them are blow off valves as opposed to diverter valves which give you the woosh sound when you shift as it releases the built up pressure into the air

imo, the carbunio intake is somewhat of a waste for 379....you get no added hp, and whenever there is a turbo in the car from a manufacturer the intake is always very well engineered because it needs to have such a high flow of air coming in, when you add the k&n air filter to the mix its pretty much the same thing as a carbonio without the added sound of your turbo, the carbon fiber detail, and the 379 sticker prices.....

for 379 you can get tints and a test pipe which will add like 15 hp make your car sound alot better and the tints will make it shine,

i don't want to knock the intake because the quality of the parts and materials they use defineltly are top notch...but for over 300 dollars, when all it does is sound and look good seems way too high for me

if the price came down to something like 200 or 215 i would buy it up real fast

this is the most expensive intake i have ever seen tho
