Ok, my wife's convertible top stopped working a couple weeks ago and I found several procedures to try and reset it by manually opening and closing the top. This did not work for me as the top would still only unlock the top from the windshield and then stop. I tried cleaning the electric motor contacts/stator (?) attached to the hydraulic pump with no luck. I found that new pumps are crazy expensive but then found a used elec motor on ebay for a $100 and ordered it. I installed and the top works again. Here is my question. When I separated the old motor from the hydraulic pump there was hydraulic fluid between them. Is this supposed to be there or is the pump leaking? Thanks,
