I am a little confused. I had my car serviced at 95,000 miles. The display has been warning me of pending service at 100,000 miles. I was under the assumption it was every 10,000. Even the dealer website recommends at 105,000. Any thoughts?

 

I think 10k is a little long--especially as the car gets older. My dealership recommends every 5-6k and sets it based on that. It's just an oil change in the intermediate intervals.

 

Others have higher maintenance preferences, i go with what audi tells me every 10k. I know not as aggressive but am confident in the audi engineers.....time will tell!

 

My maintenance warning triggers every 5000 miles. I could never let my Audi go 10,000 between oil changes anyway. I'd feel terrible if something went wrong because of that. Don't forget, you're getting close to the expensive timingbelt change in ten to fifteen thousand miles.

 

^ if I was you I would get the TB change done at the 100K mark along with a new oil change, not sure if you DIY or take it in but if you take it in I would put money aside now as they aren't cheap and you dont want to wait too long...
