ECU problem code U0100
I took my car for a diagnostic at auto zone and it pulled up a code U0100 and looked it up, something about lost communication with ecu. So I looked up my warranty and it doesn't cover that so I have to pay out of my pocket for the part. I want to know how can I fix this without going to this without going to the shop? Also what happens is my car doesn't start when it's hot, I have to play around with the remote on locking and unlocking the car to start it up. Whenever the car doesn't start, I notice the check engine light doesn't appear on the dash when it's on position. But after messing with the remote for a few minutes and as soon as the check engine light appears again, the car start's back up like a champ. Already change the crank sensor and the coolant sensor because I assume fixing the cheap stuff first would fix it but apparently it didn't. Do I have to buy a new ecu or can anyone figure out to fix this problem?
