I brought my 2007 A4 with me to Central Asia - there are no dealerships here. I have a good mechanic, but he's not an Audi specialist. My CIL came on. Diagnostic suggests EGR valve problems. The piece of equipment pictured sounds like it's leaking or sucking in air when the engine runs. Mechanic believes it needs to be replaced. I think he's right, but don't know specifically what part this is. Seems like it should be the EGR valve (kombi-valve), but I cannot find a picture online for 2007 A4 quattro 2.0 EGR valve. Can anyone confirm that this is the part? Or tell me what part this is? THANK YOU!!!!

 

That is the EGR valve assembly. Be sure to order the gasket, as some don't come with one.

Thanks for the help. I contacted parts.com, and their warehouse folx helped me out. To anyone else looking for this info, the part is also known as: "pressure regulating valve" or pressure regulator valve. The OEM part number is: 06F129101L (for older VIN) and 06F129101P (for later VIN). Gasket part number for(later VIN at least) is 06F103483E. Apparently this problem is not that unusual.
