Isn't that the reading for miles to empty? Have you tried the reset button?

Not sure I see anything wrong (except I have never seen mine over 425 miles to go).

If you want it to display something else, you can change it with the button on the end of the wiper stalk, if you have them.

i don't think he knows how to toggle the trip computer readings. as paul said, use the up and down buttons on the end of the wiper stalk.

Well whats wrong with the pic that the car doesn't go 455 miles on 3 quarter of a tank

I want it to display the fuel range nothing else, its just the A4 can never go up to 455 miles so I am thinking there is something wrong, and I have tried going to the menu and changing the computer settings, its just not doing what I want

the computer takes the current milage and current fuel tank volume to calculate how many miles you have left. it's pretty accurate since it's always worked well for my long trips on the highways. it changes based on how quickly you accelerate.

how do you know if the computer is wrong? are you assuming it's wrong because you personally don't think it can travel that far based on the current mileage and fuel inventory?

Yes, that's exactly what I am assuming usually when I fill up the tank it goes as far as 385 miles but this time when I filled it up the fuel range went up to 500 miles so I am pretty sure there is a malfunction somewhere in the computer, is there anyway I can check it?
