Question HID Conversion?

Hi guys, I recently took over a lease on an A4. Love everything about it except the halogen lights. Do you think I can do an HID conversion on it or would I not be allowed to return it like that? Also, maybe the could do this at the dealer? In that case would it be possible to put the S4 HIDs in it and are they the same as the A4 HIDs?

it is possible to put HIDs on the car, but the only way i would see that the dealer wouldnt mind without losing a lot of money in depreciation from aftermarket kits would be to get it done at the dealership and try to work a deal out with them.

As for the S4 HID compared to the A4 HIDs, i would assume they are the same but they might be different

visonbulbs has a conversion kit that you can install. You do not have to do any splicing. They have the install instructions on the site that you can look at.

if you type audiforums in the discount code section it saves you $25

^^^ if they are the same as b6-than h7 for the low beams, h11 for the fog lights.
To the OP, i think actually this (electric) might give u problems with your dealer in a future. Best way is to call them and find out what are your options. Your non hid oem headlights dont have a lens in them, so it wouldnt look that nice. You can always buy a different set of headlights+ hid kit, or put a lens in your oem healdight ( a lot of work + you will have to take it away before giving a car back).

buy oem. You can sell them when you're done with your lease and the self leveling / turning headlights are f*ckin great! Housing, bulbs/ballasts, and a wiring harness I'm sure. My HIDs are in the start up check when the car is started. Holla at an audi tech to make sure your car supports the features these bada$$ headlights have.

I just ordered my HID's from VVME.com hoping to get to them over the weekend? I know they aren't the best ones out there but anyone have a problem with them? Also Im sure they aren't too hard to install. The passanger side light do is it hard to get to t he bulb, do i need to take the the headlight out? Also for the fogs are they hard to get to? I looked for a write up couldn't find one, I did see a few post on needing a relay harness or something, do I just need to plug and play? Any help apprecaite it thanks!

If you've got an S-Line the fogs are real easy to reach. You just pull off the plastic grill (you can feel tabs at the top and bottom to unsnap). I think if it's not S-Line you'll have to take off the bumper to get at the fogs.

But you'll probably have to take off the bumper anyway to change the headlights.

I do not have the S-line. Didn't think I was going to have to take the bumper off. Oh well will see when I get the Kit in.
