Default Just bought a B7 - can't wait for it to come!

Hey Guys,

New to this board, just bought a 2007 A4 - came from a 01 Infiniti QX4.

This board has been most helpful, been spending far far too much time on here.

Have a few questions if someone doesn't mind helping.

1) This features the Symphony II right? Cannot play MP3's right?
2) Does the 12V cigarette stay on when the car is off? Is there also one in the middle for the rear passengers?
3) Is Mobil 1 SynPower 0w40 ok? Or is Castrol Syntec stuff better?
4) I've read a lot about adding a 3.5MM for an aux. I read things like taking out the head unit, unplugging the CD changer one, and then buying something that interfaces with that. If I have a "SAT" option, can I just use that portal instead to retain my CD changer? Thanks!

Thanks so much! - appreciate the help in advance

Congratulations on the new purchase!

I can answer a couple of your questions:

It should be able to play MP3s. I don't know what the Symphony version name/number is, but mine is an '07 and it plays MP3s.

Mobil 1 is on the approved VW 502 oil list, so it is fine.

Yes the 12V's stay on when the car is off. I leave my cell phone charging all the time when its off.

Enjoy the new car!

Thanks! - I actually quite hate this feature. I once had a X5 with the same problem. My radar detector / GPS would all stay powered, and drain the battery...ugh
