yea, sucks that shops charge out the *** for the good oil. ask around if you can bring you own supplies and have a shop do it. or see if friends are handy. search the forums for a simple DIY, no fancy tools are needed. it seriously only costs me $40 or less for a 5qt jug and filter.

 

I have a question guys.

if you perform the check and it is not followed by the OK sign at the end does that mean there is a problem either he systems that highlighted?

I don't get an ok at the end but I haven't noticed any symbol popping up at any time while driving and nothing pops up when I start the ignition.

I am just worried as I only have the car a few days now so want to be sure.

I dont mean to be rude, but how about you read ur manual that came in the car that is ussually located in the glovebox, and dont tell me it doesnt have it because im calling you out on it now... All of that info and plus much much more is in it... Youll prolly even learn how to start the car without posting the question on here....

 

Why so rude, gearhead? You're not even 100% correct. The manual is rarely in the glovebox as B7s had a dedicated slot directly under the steering column. If you're not going to be helpful, why bother posting at all?

The question is a month old, anyway. I'm guessing he's done some more research and discovered the answer by now.
