New to the Audi family! 2007 A4 2.0T.

I just picked this black/black audi a4 for 16,900, with only 38,000 miles on it. So far i love it, and i want to get tints but need to know how much they cost, and how much you guys think i should tint it.

any advice?:D

I paid around $200 for tinting. I paid cash and asked him to do slightly under the legal limit here in GA (32%), so he gave me a deal. I think mine are 28% and look really good. You definitely want to go to a really reputable, recommended shop (ask a local mechanic or body shop you trust for a rec)--you really want someone who knows what they're doing.

This was the first car I've ever had tinted and I can honestly say it was the best $200 I've ever spent on the car and I can't believe I never had it done to my previous Mustang.

Should run about $150 to $200 depending on the type of film you use. Agree with King that you should use an established shop.

I did mine at 35% fronts and 20% rears (and rear window) and it turned out well. You can tell they are different, but it doesn't jump out at you.

I live in Los Angeles, and I'm not quite sure what the legal limit is... But I want to get them all the same tint, do you actually recommend the back window tinted?

And if anyone could also help with whether or not i should look at Gloss black rims, or chrome. i want it to look clean, flush, not ghetto.

Yes, if you get them tinted, you definitely want to tint the back window. It's the biggest surface area (other than your windshield) that lets in the sun. A tint shop should be able to tell you what's legal for your area. Or, you can probably find it on The Google.

Agree with King again, you want to tint the rear window.

As for rims it really is a matter of taste. Black rims with tint would look good. Chrome rims would offset the black car and tint nicely. You could also look at a gunmetal grey rim if you don't want something shiny. Black goes with everything!

Now, it's my turn to agree with rhodes. Gunmetal grey would look sweet!

Check your state laws. My car came from Nebraska originally which allowed tint that almost made my car look limo like. In Michigan only the top four inches of the front doors can be tinted. It would have looked stupid like that so I took all the tint off. Also be sure they are careful with the rear window and don't damage the defroster, as well as put it on right. My rear window tint developed bulges along every one of the defroster grid lines which caused major defracting of headlights from behind making it impossible to see what was coming. The best part was that the dealer resisted taking off the tint even though technically the car would not have been road legal in the state it was being sold in.

You only paid $16900 with 38000 i paid $16900 with 74000 miles.. I got screwed lol what state do you live in?

I live in Los Angeles, CA. Damn I'm sorry bro, its still a great car regardless. I got notified of the cars arrival to a Land Rover dealership the DAY it drove on the lot. I got first dibs and took the opportunity.
