Default New Audi Runnin Rough HELP NEEDED!!

So i bought this 2006 Audi A4 S-Line with the 2.0T in it. It runs rough. Not like SUPER bad ALL THE TIME but when it is cold it runs real rough gps will shake when on the harness on the windshield. It has been back to the dealer 4 times last time they had it for a week, and could not figure out what was wrong with it. They finally called AUDI TECH, and they said to change the "Fuel Filter" and it seems to of made it a little better. But it still runs a tad rough. Any ideas on what it could be? So i can suggest it to the audi techs that cannot figure it out.

ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! THANK YOU!

My A4 seems to idle higher at start when it is cold out. The 2.0T runs louder than other V6's because itsa 4 cylinder. My Audi is the loudest 4 banger I have ever heard at idle! Is possible that this is what you are experiencing. Not sure how rough your idle actually is.

It is rough enough to where the gps and glove box will rattle. To an extent to where it is annoying not just a minor rattle.. and the shake is real annoying also...

Yea, if it really annoying, then you may want to bring it back to the stealership.

hahaha i like how u put STEALERSHIP... cuz thats all it is. How does an AUDI technician now know what the hell is wrong? They had it for a week and could not figure it out! I mean come on! Then last night, the Check Engine light comes on, is on all night and then goes off a few hours ago when i shut the car off ran into a gas station to get some sippage (drink) haha and came out and started it off the check engine light was not on. So who the hell knows i was hoping it would stay on so MAYBE they could then figure it out! But now im gonna go in there and tell them either they fix it or give me a new car cuz this is BS!

The coils might be going bad. I had the same problem with an 06 they had to replace them twice.

It's probably your high pressure fuel pump sensor. Those have been known to cause a good amount of issues in the cold with engine problems.

hey gsxr 1000, i run a audi vw only shop and i can tell u that i have seen this alot and the fix for the solution that i have figured out for most of the runs rough conditions is the coolant temp sensor of course this is not always the solution i tell u what go get vagcom it is 700 bucks but it works awesome. tell them to monitor the coolant temp sensor. her is how it works. on cold start it tells the comp to put in alot of fuel to get going then as it warms up it cuts back the fuel. this can causer a runs rough condition cause the engine cant burn all the fuel if the sensor has gone bad due to missfires but wont set a cel
