performance chips for 08 audi a4
APR, Revo, and GIAC are the main three. Find which one is closest to you and go with that. APR has the advantage that it's easy to switch programs using the cruise control lever. Also, they frequently have sales, so wait for one of those.
APR and REVO have stage 2 programs once you add the Testpipe (Cat Removal). Stage 1 is nice. Stage 2 is About 20 horse more than that and is well noticed. A Testpipe would throw an engine light but these stage 2 programs would also fix that.
GIAC does not have stage 2 but an adaptive single program for anything you add. GIAC does not correct the engine light which is stupid.
I have APR on my GTI and love it. I have run REVO on on the A4 and it was nice as well. APR is set it and forget it while REVO has fine tuning options for the hard core fine tuner.
I vote APR for ease.

Mazadaspeed 3
Stage 2 GLI Jetta (Very similar in weight to the A4)
Late 90's GST with a swapped t-25 for a 14B (bigger 1st gen GST stock turbo)
93-94ish LT1 Camaro
Pulled hard on all.
All were from a Dig and a Roll. Your results will vary as GTI's are lighter and DSG auto's are superior than other Auto's and manuals. It will outshift about anything made if you never have driven one. A4's are just tanks with horrible Auto's.
The a4 chipped feels like it should have came that way stock as it could finally barely move out of its own way. I'm sure stage 2 would feel good but my wife could care less about power as she drives it.
