Just had it fixed

Turned out to be the water pump.

i had a cyclic squeak noise coming from one of the pulleys and when the engine got warmed up it would go away. i ignored it for 3 years and finally had enough and brought it to the dealer. they noticed it too and they said the belt tensioner needed to be replaced. it's been perfect ever since. they did end up changing the timing belt and all of the pulleys at the same time. so good deal.

take it to the dealership and have them check it after a cold start up.

Thanks guys turn out to be one of the pulley so I'm gonna wait till when the belts goes and then get it changed then was it expensive from the main dealer???

how much did it cost you at the dealership?

it was all free. it was covered under warranty. all they had to do was change the idler pulley or something but they ended up changing all the pulleys plus the timing belt.

how long has it been happening? it's likely the tensioner so just have the mechanic change that and the timing belt. the belt is probably due soon if it hasn't been done already. you need to change the belt at 100,000 km intervals.

that's the dumbest idea i've heard in a long time. how old are you? do they just give audi's out at the slum shelters?

I just talke to the audi service dept and was told that the noise is caused by the air pump pumping air in the cylinder head.
