Default Quattro Question

I noticed when I drove the car during the winter time with accumulated snow on the ground, every time I turned or gave it too much gas the back end would fishtail out on me. Is this common? What is the ration on Quattro? Is it 50-50 split or something else?

it's 60/40 rear/front. i got the fishtail going too but it's not an out of control type. it's a good compromise between the positive attributes of a RWD and AWD.

No it's not out of control I was just not expecting it. I just assumed AWD cars were 50/50 split...minus the STi that goes from 50/50 to 60/40.

I fishtail it when I give it too much around a corner (obviously), but have never had much in a straight line.
