Hi all, new member here.

I've got a 2008 S-line 3.2. It's been trouble free yet the past few weeks something odd has started to happen while using the radio.

Several times the steering wheel controls and dash display are not communicating with the head unit - will not display radio info in gauge cluster and the volume, station select buttons on the steering wheel fail to work.

Next time I turn on the car, they seem fine.

Several days ago, I then notice the head unit display brightness was dim during the day (and not communicating with remote controls) and later was bright near sunset (headlights were off). Add to that, I later saw the station info on the instrument cluster return, but it was blinking wildly.

It's now working, yet likely to change anytime.

I do have a ipod kit installed (years ago). It's rarely used and I unplugged the ipod to test. Don't believe it's got anything to do with this.

Anyone experience this or know what could be happening?

I forgot to mention when this problem is active, the radio remains on after I turn off the car and remove the key.
