Tried searchin this one here and all over the net and can't seem to find a staright answer...

Is it possible to retrofit an Audi Nav in a B7? I know it can be done to prior A4's w/ symphony II, and the original symphony. Theres actually quite a bit of info on that, most of which is dated back to 2005.

Im lookin to get into an 07-08 S-line real soon n its hard as hell to find one with Nav, 6-speed, plus all the trimmings. Anyone tried this, or know if it can be done...Lemme know

 

IMNSHO - F the audi nav, buy yourself a Nav system under $200 since you most likely already have the BT, the intergration, etc...

I bought a $179.00 Garmin Nuvi unit for my A4 B7 that equals (but doesn't integrate as well as) the Nav system that my wife wanted in her '08 A6 Avant.

Hmm, $179 vs ~$2000+. That's a hard ROI to meet, if you ask me...

After 12+ Months of use, our recommendation is this: purchase the unit that has the user interface you want to work with - the remaining issues don't matter at that point.

 

My Garmin Nuvi works quite well. I took it with me last month when I visited my daughter in Germany. With the European maps, it was wonderful. I downloaded a one month free trail of the German and Austrian "safety camera" locations. I am certain that I saved my daugher some money with that, since we were borrowing her car.

 

Yeah, it can be done. The Audi OEM one is RNS-E. There are also other in-dash units that can be installed.
