Hiya Guys.

Please Help. I have just bought a 05 plate A4 TDi S-Line and I have noticed the Reverse Lights dont work, i have had the Bulbs checks but its not the problem.

What could it be????

Some cars have a switch that activates via contact with the shift lever (i.e when you put the tranny in reverse) to turn the back up lights on and off. I'm not familiar enough with the Audi's to offer much more advice.

 

Could be a fuse if it isn't in the shifter switch or connector.

 

My 98 A4 is having the same issue, i had brought the car in to the dealer for a Multi-Function switch change and now my reverse does not work in reverse....they come on when i put the car in Neutral :-). Radio, Air conditioner panel with display and power side mirrors are also dead. Checked fuses and fuses are ok, i just have to now figure out how to pull open the panel holding those items and try to fix it myself. Dealers charge alot for nothing sometimes..
