Revo Sage 2 Problems
Hey Guys,
I just upgraded to Revo Stage 2 and im getting some misfires. I have a 034 Motorsport HFC, Stasis exhaust and a custom intake. The engine balks and then it will catch and kick in. Its just not running smooth. I had the coil packs changed out for the recall about a month ago and just got new plugs (stock Bosch audi, is what was recommended) to see if that would help. It did a little but still some balking issues. Has anyone had this problem at all?
And I am switching back to the stock intake btw to see if that helps.

I have a Forge DV, I was thinking I need to get it serviced... I've driven about 90k with it so far. And yeah I agree the intake needs to come out. Will be doing it tonight if I have time. Should I be ok with the stock intake? Or is it a good idea to drop in a k&n as well? Thanks Kris
i just switched back to my stock intake and ordered up a K&N.. it is running very smooth now and not hesitating anymore. However, response is now lower. My buddy and I are going to try and salvage the whole cone thing and see if we cant figure out a good system. Really the issue was that there was a crappy box around the cone and the air wasn't flowing very well to it, and there wasnt much for a heat shield.
If i put the K&N in and get a turbo inlet pipe from 034 Motorsports do you guys think that will help me gain some response back?
Also, it doesn't seem to boost as high now that the stock intake is back in.

Intakes are trouble on these cars aside from a stock replacement K&N drop in. Even then don't expect much of a gain if any. Any aftermarket setup or custom setup can cause you to lose a few pounds of boost and is only hutring you. Scrap that whole idea please.
As far as your Forge DV, nothing beats a stock revision "D" valve. If you read my sticky up top you could learn alot of these things. Your FORGE unit needs a cleaning and greasing every 10k at least which is why I like the "D" stck valve because it is maintainence free but uses a piston design like the aftermarkets. Best $79 I ever spent.
Gauranteed those were both your problem. Do your PCV while you are at it, again all info is in the sticky up top.
