service due light
Hi,my service due light has come on. Is there a way I can switch it off or reset it as I have already done a service myself. I can reset the oil change due warning by going into the settings on my dash but can not see how to reset the service one . 2009 A4 executive s-line model. Thanks in advance

oooh executive :-P
i assume you have the MMI?
do you have the owners manual? mine tells you how to do a pretty simple procedure
what does the light/reminder look like?
maybe its something more serious that needs to be looked at and reset by the dealer or someone with a vagcom
i didnt know there were different service reminders cuz mine only has the one that goes off every 5k miles (oil change essentially).

hi, yes i have the mmi version. Using this I can only get the oil reminder/reset but i have recently had a "service due" reminder light come on. It only comes on for a few seconds when i first start the car as you have said rhodes991. There's no light , it comes up on the small display " service due". There is no wrench , only set and 0.0 buttons on the small display between the steering wheel. I have pressed both in various configurations but no joy.

I don't have the mmi and have the check, wrench, and 0.0 buttons. to reset the oil change reminder, I have to press the wrench button and turn the key to run(not start) and then press and hold 0.0 to reset the reminder. Then the computer starts counting again after a few miles.
If you don't have a manual that says how to do it, I would go to AutoZone or wherever and clear the codes with their scantool for free. Or try a local Audi/vw dealer and see if they will do it or tell you how without doing any service.

I did a quick google search and it appears you need a vag-com to reset the light. Not sure if Autozone can reset that for you or not.
