Ski Rack
 

Anyone have any suggestions on a ski rack? I have a 2005.5 2.0T quattro.

I have the ski bag in between the back seats. That would be ok for 2 people, but 4 would be tight. I'm debating if wet skis inside the car or a rack on top would be worse. On my old car I had a bike rack I used maybe 3 or 4 times, and to the day I sold the car I could see black marks on the paint where the rack sat.

I looked into the yakima type rack and was wondering what people thought. If anyone has any other suggestions or inexpensive type roof racks of decent quality please let me know.

i work for ski market in CT we sell thule and yakima racks but if u go overhead your skis will be exposed to road salts and grime and stuff like that......it destroys bases and takes off your wax and dulls your edges.....wet ski's in the truck is a much safer bet or you could go with a top mount carrier like an ascent 1600-2100 where the skis are overhead but in a box
