so after some research i'm going with the APR stage 1 ECU flash
i thought it would be so ricey but i may now consider upgrading to stage 2 whenever i feel like it. no rush to it since i'm quite happy with stage 1. i guess i'll wait for the next APR sale or later. i really dig the milltek high flow cats and exhaust. i owned a set of magnaflow exhaust for another car and they were fantastic. they offered X pipe and H pipe configurations. i never hear of these types of options for the audi cars.

On my GTI with a stock single muffler setup it was only slightly louder. If you were to expect any aggresive sound at all you would actually have dissapointment. Go for it and let me know how big your smile is. Remember ebay pipes work great and are much cheaper than the rip off name brands.
Just out of curiosity, how much did the Rev D diverter valve run you?
EDIT:
Ok, 2wdBlazer, about the downpipe that you're bringing up:
Does installing that throw a check engine light, and is there a way to go around that? How does the straight pipe affect your gas mileage? Most cars are built with the expected back pressure from having a cat installed, so when you remove it, it affects things (not always in a positive way).
I'd like to have some additional info on that before I ever go gung ho on tuning my car outside of the few electronic tweeks that I've done already.

If you have the stage 2 program there is no code. If you install the pipe usually you have about 50 miles before the code throws but the tune will erase it with no stored logs.
In theory you will get better mileage because the engine is running more freely. Yhe flip side is you are flooring it more often now for the adrenaline rush. My mileage is the same or better when driving like a granny.
