Symphony II wont play MP3's??
 

My Audi A4 2.0T Quattro will not play MP3 format CD's, I have the symphony II radio with 6disc CD Changer and integrated wheel controls in my A4. My 3 previous vehicle's all had MP3 capability, and so ALL my cd's are in MP3 format! I have over 450 Cd's and the task of converting alll those songs is out of the question!

Is there some kind of code, trick, method or solution to this madness? :eek:

Strange... I have the same radio setup, and mine plays MP3 CD's.

is mp3 format or mp4? audi will only play true mp3 cd's will not play MP4's AAC's WmA's or anything but mp3

unfortunately, only the symphony II+ radios support MP3 CD, which I think only came on the 08 MY.

What year is your A4???

I've made a mistake, the radio I have in my Audi is a "Symphony" not the Symphony II. Now since my radio will not play MP3's at all, does anyone know where I can get a radio which WILL play MP3's and still allow me the use of my steering wheel controls? (VOLUME/TRACK) Either OEM Audi or Aftermarket, also can I call the dealership for the radio code, if I choose to use another OEM Audi radio?
