I'm wondering if my warranty is valid if I do my routine maintenance work at a specialist rather than a dealership. My specialist is located far more conveniently than the dealer, and it helps that he charges less for his services. He uses all OEM parts. Someone recently told me that I may void my warranty doing this. Could that be true? Thanks.

 

I don't think that is the case. I am leasing my 2012 A4 and the dealer told me that as long as I follow the regular maintenance schedule and keep the receipts for parts and oil I can do my own maintenance or take to and independent mechanic.
