I'm looking for some advice please.

Over the last few days, my electronic parking brake has been failing to auto release when driving away. It works fine when manually engaging and disengaging still.

Previous to the last few days I used to get this issue very occasionally but it's now permanent.

I friend at work plugged in his diagnostic kit and it's given the fault ABS / ESP fault code 00473 as a permanent fault code.

Trawling the internet I can find issues where the electronic brake does not work at all but none the same as mine where it works fine, just won't auto release.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can offer any advise on the fault.
