Audi's update for my 4 year old system seems to be way over priced at the dealer. Isn't just a new CD?

Does anyone know of an alternate source/method to upgrade?

If it is the same as on my 2011, it is not on a CD. It is a code which permits a download from Audi but must be done at the dealer's. However, I had it done in March or April and it was worthless as the roads missing when I bought the car were still missing after the update. Audi refunded all my costs (but not my time).

Not that I have found. The procedure, according to my SA, precludes a work-around since Audi maintains the only copies of the files.
