Default Engine opinions..

I have a 2006 Jetta with the 2.0T engine with mild upgrades(Milltek Exhaust, Giac, and intake)...Is the 2.0T in the '09 Audi the same as my car or a different version? What is the mpg with the 3.2l?

Would love to jump on an A4 since the deals are to good to pass up but not sure which engine suit me best in the long run....If I can do the same mods to a new car that I have done to mine I would be very happy

It's a different version rated @ 211hp and 258lb ft (more torque than the 3.2). If you read what's on this forum and others, I think you'll find that most people, myself included, find the 2.0T more than capable/adequate, although it doesn't have the same aggressive sound as the 3.2.

With almost 3k miles on mine, the engine just seems to be getting better by the day.

If you are looking 09 A4... 2.0T will more than enough fun/power. I love my 2.0T (previously owned a heavily moded RSX type-S upwards of 270 whp) but the 2.0T is smooth and enjoyable. Remember... drive slow enough so the ladies can see you. haha

I am a new audi owner and had to register to this forum to give my two cents...I purchased the 3.2 and in my opinion there is non comparison between the 3.2 and the 2.0. After a week of owning my 3.2 I had issues with my tires and had to have a loaner for over a week and it was a 2.0T.

There simply was no comparison between the two vehicles, the 3.2 was much much more responsive in terms of acceleration.

You should really test drive both to make sure you feel teh 2.0T is acceptable to your needs....I found it was not

Just got a sweet deal on a 2.0 and love the engine. Admitedly, it is not the quietest engine but the torque is strong, the top end is good and I prefer the power delivery over my old 2001 2.8.
