I have noticed a lot of noise while in reverse. It seems like a "roaring" sound and it recently seems to have gotten e little louder. Intially, I thought it was the fans kicking in to insure cooling while in reverse, but that really doesn't make much sense when it is 20 degrees outside. I am begining to think there is really somthing else going on now. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes, except it happens to my car in reverse, or when in stand still. In general it only happens for me at low RPMs. Also, it only happens after driving the car for a couple minutes, it doesn't kick in right away form me in the mornings. I have to drive around a little first, and then at a red light I hear it kick in. Initially I thought it was just the fans, but its been getting worse. I'm taking the car in on Wednesday.

 

Took it to the dealer. They were nice enough to put a mechanic in my car and let me ride around for 30 min. Couldn't duplicate it myself. Now its back though. Will try again next time.

 

I get the "JET" sound as well but have only noticed it first thing in the morning as soon as I start her up. It lasts about a minute or two tops.
