Hey guys, I have the 2011 A4 and when I turn off my car like for a long drive, I hear sizzling noise under the car, Like it sounds like a snake is under there. I think it is the AC water hitting something hot, is that normal?

 

Bump- my car does this too. I heard this once as well. Only have had car for a week.

 

yeah the AC water may be dripping onto a hot header or something. let it cool completely, start it up and shut it down and i bet you won't hear the noise.

 

Yup, happens on mine too. Pretty sure it is AC condensation dripping on the engine block. I'm not worried about it.

 

I have the same noise. Almost positive its the AC because it only happens after I run the AC, any other time it doesn't make the noise after the same commute.
