HELP! Rattle from driver side?
 

Hello,

I bought a 12 plate Audi A4 2.0 TDI 143 Black Edition Saloon a few weeks ago.

Whenever I drive over quite bumpy roads or surfaces, I notice quite a loud rattle coming from the driver side. I can't pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from, but I think the rattle is emanating from the driver door/window. The rattle is driving me nuts! I love the car but the rattle is dampening my enjoyment of it unfortunately.

I took the car to Stirling Audi the other day and had a road test with a service technician. The technician heard the rattle on the road test and the 'warranty invoice' states "lubricated seals on vehicle, please monitor and advise if fault persists." Unfortunately this has not solved the problem and the rattle still exists.

Would be very interested to hear if anyone else is experiencing this issue and if anyone has managed to stop the rattle.

Hi mine does exactly the same thing
Also certain bass from music makes it happen

Have pinpointed it down to the plastic trim that runs from the a pillar by the tweeter round the door to the b pillar

Used a little bit of sticky back foam at the bottom tucked up out of the way it has improved it but not cured it
So I am going to take it off and use some very thin foam or material glued to the inside of the trim
Hopefully this will fix it

Hi got the same car with the same fault thinking of booking it into audi for them to find fault as the car is still under warranty my sounds like the door needs adjusting !!
