New car acquired
Bit of a repost as I think original forum not specific enough.
My wife has been gifted an A4 quattro 2009 and naturally as I always do I join the relevant forums to glean knowledge from the experts.
The car seems to have a good service history though the car is unaware of Covid and due to this fact the service has slipped.
It was showing 14.4k miles since last oil change so I reset that and now shows 9.1k miles to next oil change I make 14.4 plus
9.1 to be 23.5k.. Now I thought the oil change interval was 19k or 2 years? Is it advisable to stick to long life oil ? Plus I have a message saying drain oil? Car is running a tad lumpy so thought I would change the spark plugs
as a precaution. Now at some time in the past 3 of the 4 clips on the coil pack connectors have been snapped off, all Audi servicing so not a good advert for them. I can still remove 2 of the these 3
but one is proving very hard, nay impossible to remove. Can these bits be obtained as spares?
And finally the service book states replace the toothed belt, I am assuming cambelt at 114K, which looks a lot to me though for some reason this vehicle had it done at 30K
And finally finally are there any recommendations as to makes of service parts or are all much of a likeness. I generally use Mann filters but I see the fuel filter if only available from a very few makes.
Thats all for now . Thanks

Personally, I would not go over 8k miles between oil changes even with full synthetic oil. That oil has to lube the turbo and if it gets too dirty, you could have serious issues. (I owned an A6 2.7T from 37k-236k and kept to this schedule, and it was running fine and not burning any oil when I sold it.)
If you check further, the 2.0T engine has a timing CHAIN and not a belt. There is no maintenance interval for changing it. That said, I had the engine rebuilt on my signature A4 to address the oil blow-by issue and had the timing chain replaced as insurance (as well as water pump, clutch, and many other small bits while the engine was out). I invested at 152k and expect another 100k out of a vehicle I greatly enjoy driving.

Totally agree re oil changes for what they cost is an insignificant sum for peace of mind. I will get around to it. Have changed spark plugs and air and cabin filters. But catching a dose of the Covid Kung Flu has scuppered me temporarily.
