No trip computer???!!?!?
 

I just purchased an 09 A4 Sedan 2.0 Premium. While driving back from the dealership late last night I noticed I could not flick through the trip computer from the wiper stalk on the right like I could in my 06 A4 Convertible. I checked in the user manual and nowhere does it say that the trip computer is optional exuipment. The DIS shows remaining fuel, outside temp, shift position and milage but where is my consumption meter? My average speed and all the other trip computer functions??

Is a trip computer really an option on a $32000 car???!?

My wife just traded in her 05' B7 for a 09' Premium M6. I noticed that the premium pkg. has a few less options and one of them is no control for the DIS. What you see is what you get. No more current mileage just how many miles till empty:(.

It is pretty crazy that they would have a miles til empty readout but yet not go ahead and give you more trip computer functions as well...kinda shortsighted as they have the hard part already taken care of.

I'm wondering if there is a way to retrofit it?? Anyone heard of such a thing?

I just picked up a 2006 A6 without trip computer. The manual does not call this an option. I called Audi Canada and they have to check to see if this car should have it. Can not belive that this car would have this an option.
