If you leave the mirror adjustment switch in the center position (neither left, nor right) the defrost function is always on and your mirror is constantly being heated. I suspect that if not in this position, you will not have the delamination problems some have complained about.

Well I know that the mirror adjustment is a button, which you can press. I am assuming thats when the mirrors are heated. I have the position in the middle and my side mirrors dim along with the rear view mirror when headlights hit the mirrors.
