should i risk getting a remote car starter, i live in the Mass and it gets really cold, i am thinking about getting a remote car or would like to get one anyways. what do you guys think, i heard that getting one may cause more problem to the car, myth or facts?

 

I live in Alaska and havent quite got the guts to do it yet. One B8 in town has done it and has had good luck so far. The Audi dealership told me that they wont install one and recommended not to be the guinea pig for an aftermarket shop! Its getting old running outside to start it in the cold though.

 

I live in Montreal Canada, my dealer offered me the Python remote starter for 700$, installing it there wont void your warranty. Nothing like getting in a worm car every morning on those -30c days :-)

 

I'll have to look into the Python! Which dealership did you use?

Its finally nice to find a group to chat with about the best thing on the road! I'm from Boston,MA and its cold here. This will be my 2nd Audi to date however I have yet to install a remote starter due to all the fear and comments I've been getting. From your experience and others in this group should a remote starter ne installed in any Q7 if its doesn't come already installed? I'm worried about my warranty by reading the other reviews, the key "locking" in the ignition not to mention the cost or that it will ruin the car.

Looking for solid advice... My Q7 is a 2009, 1 owner with only 50k miles...DONT want to mess with a good thing! HELP

 

I have a 2010 a4 it doesn't show a start button on my remote but if you hit the lock button 3 times it starts.just something to try maybe u have car starter this whole time and didn't know.i would not have known if not for my brother.
