I own a 2010 A4 2.0t quattro and the check engine light came on reading P0299. Autozone recommended a recirculation valve but the dealership said replace the entire turbo. Obviously I want the easiest fix, but I want the one that is healthiest for my engine as well. I heard that the error could could mean faulty sensors or valves, or even a dirty air filter. Is this a common problem? what should I do. Any help would be appreciated.
