i just bought an audi s4 b8.5 i was wondering if anyone knew if i could use performance parts from the previous model b8 would they fit on the b8.5 or what? also i want to tune the car with a ecu chip does anyone have an recommendation on which one i should buy where i can turn it on and off so the dealer doesn't know i have the car chipped?

 

Most mods should be compatible since they for are the same 3.0L SC motor. The Stasis upgrade is pretty popular. I'd search for some threads on that. The ECU upgrade claims to give about 70hp and can be done through your dealership or directly via Stasis. My dealership wanted $1900 to do the upgrade but Stasis themselves want $1500 I think. $400 get you removal of the ECU by their technicians, who then put it in a box and send it to stasis.

APR also do a similar upgrade but it isn't covered under warranty. I'd go that way if your car has +50k miles and is out of warranty. The APR upgrade has more options.

Injen air intakes seem to be pretty popular too.

 

Most will fit the B8.5, however the ECU is a completely different unit. G.I.A.C. is one of few companies to have cracked this ECU successfully so far, and has seen big advances in power. Work is also currently underway for their Stage 2 Pulley kit for the B8.5 3.0T.
