Newbie here...Can someone point me in the right direction to see if my wife's car, Audi A4 2.0 TFSI, is a B8 or B9? I've tried searching the internet and the threads to find an answer. Websites either list the 2016 as B8 or B9. I've contacted AudiChat and they said "it appears your 2016 Audi A4 is a B8 vehicle. Thanks!

 

Morning folks, I have been getting mistaken as of late for all the diverse reseller's exchange sites, tuning organizations, and so forth all have various years set for what a b8 audi and what a b9 audi is. Some state b8 stop at 2015, and b9's beginning at 2016+, yet others state b8's end at 2016. Would somebody be able to please explain.

2017-2019 or 2020 is B9

edit: pull up a picture of the 2016 and you’ll notice it’s compact. Now pull up a picture of the 2017 and you’ll notice it’s longer and sleeker. The 2017 to 2019 are built the same minus the subtle changes. The 2016 is almost a completely different look.
